Who is Vukša Veličković?

Vukša Veličković is a Serbian writer, journalist and cultural critic, best known for his novel Gužva published by Alexandria Press in 2003, along with a book-soundtrack CD featuring young Serbian electronic artists. He is the author of If I were column in 'Prestup' magazine, Belgrade, in which he deals with applied pop-politics, enacting different social roles – the prime minister's chauffeur, a beggar, a TV news presenter, or a transvestite on the trail of a mass grave.

He maintains a column on B92.net and was recently the editor in Serbian newsmagazine Evropa until its folding in February 2008. He is also a performing artist, interacting his writings with other media such as music, video and photography. His second novel 'Vrt Uzivanja' [Garden of Pleasure] has been staged as a multimedia act at international festivals in Belgrade and Zagreb in 2006. and 2007.

Velickovic is currently the Creative Director and Editor-in-chief of Bturn, online culture magazine for the Balkans.
