Who is Vyt Bakaitis?
Vyt Bakaitis is an American translator, editor, and poet born in Lithuania and living in New York City. His main collection of poetry is City Country. His magazine, Thirst, lasted only a few issues, but his translations of Lithuanian poetry, particularly the anthology Breathing Free and the work of Jonas Mekas, are significant. He was married to the late artist Sharon Gilbert.
