Who is Walt Corey?
Walter Martin Corey is a former professional American football linebacker. He played college football for the University of Miami.
In 1960, Corey came to the American Football League's Dallas Texans as an undrafted linebacker. He went on to star for the Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs, with whom he was an AFL All-Star in 1963.
Corey later held assistant coaching positions with several teams, including the Buffalo Bills from 1987-1994 under head coach Marv Levy. Corey was Buffalo's defensive coordinator for Buffalo's four consecutive AFC Championship teams from 1990-1993. He was also the defensive line coach in New Orleans during the Mike Ditka era 1997-1999.
