Who was Warder Clyde Allee?

Warder Clyde Allee was an American zoologist and ecologist who taught animal ecology. He is best known for his research on animal behavior, protocooperation, and for identifying the Allee effect. Allee was a student of Victor Shelford whose efforts led to the establishment of the Nature Conservancy. He was married to author Marjorie Hill Allee.
