Who is Wilfredo Ruiz?

Wilfredo Ruiz Bruno is a retired Uruguayan professional basketball player. In the FIBA World Championship of 1982, playing for Uruguay national basketball team, he averaged 23.4 points per game.

At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 1984, Ruiz was one of the leaders along with Carlos Peinado and Horacio “Tato” López and finished with his team in sixth place. Nicknamed Fefo He also played for Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca in the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol where he was the league's best scorer during its first three years of existence.
