Who was William Edge?
William Leonard Edge was a British mathematician most known for his work in finite geometry. Born in Stockport to schoolteacher parents, Edge attended Cambridge University. He later worked at the University of Edinburgh. A lifelong bachelor, Edge died in Bonnyrigg.
