Who is William Herrick Macaulay?

William Herrick Macaulay was a mathematician, Fellow and Vice-Provost of King's College, Cambridge, and close friend of Karl Pearson. He also corresponded with John Maynard Keynes

He was born in Hodnet, Shropshire and died in Clent. George Campbell Macaulay was his brother.

He received a B.A. from Durham University and an M.A. from Cambridge. He worked in a granite quarry company.
