Who is Wolfgang Kosack?
Wolfgang Kosack ist ein deutscher Ägyptologe, Koptologe und Autor.
Wolfgang Kosack promovierte 1970 an der Universität Bonn mit der Arbeit Die Legende im Koptischen. Untersuchungen zur Volksliteratur Ägyptens. Er übersetzt unter anderem antike koptische Schriften. Mehrere Jahre arbeitete er mit Moustafa Maher als Redakteur bei der von Helmut Birkenfeld herausgegebenen Deutsch-Arabischen Kulturzeitschrift Armant. 2013 erschienen von ihm zwei Textbearbeitungen und Übersetzungen zu Fragmenten von Schenute von Atripe.
Er lebt und arbeitet in Berlin.
