Who is Xavier Caféïne?

Xavier Caféïne is a French-Canadian rock singer and musician from the province of Québec. He is a former member of the band Caféïne.

In August 2006, he released his first album as a solo artist. He played most of the instruments on his album but received helped from Michel Langevin on the drum for a few songs. The disc is described as being authentic to the artist and rock fans and music critics in Québec praised it when released.

He performed live in many festivals and events in Canada, including Osheaga Festival Musique et Arts, Festival d'été de Québec, FrancoFolies de Montréal and Woodstock en Beauce.

In 2007, the Belgium singer Plastic Bertrand contacted him to collaborate on the writing and composing of his new album. Together they wrote 7 songs.

The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada gave him the "2008 Discovery of the Year Song" Award for La fin du monde.
