Who was Yafa Yarkoni?
Yafa Yarkoni was an Israeli singer, winner of the Israel Prize in 1998 for Hebrew song. She was dubbed Israel's “songstress of the wars” due to her frequent performances for Israel Defense Forces soldiers, especially in wartime. She was from a Caucasian Jewish family.
