Who is Yasukazu Hamada?

Yasukazu Hamada is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet. A native of Futtsu, Chiba and graduate of Senshu University he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1993.

In the Cabinet of Prime Minister Taro Aso, appointed on 24 September 2008, Hamada was appointed as Minister of Defense. This was Hamada's first Cabinet position.
