Yevgeny Gavrilovich Minayev is a former Russian weightlifter and Olympic champion who competed for the Soviet Union.
He was born in Klin.
Minayev received a silver medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne.
Four years later he won a gold medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome.
