Who is Yong Shu?
Yong
leads the Asia Pacific sales region as Senior Vice President,
Asia of IP Unity Glenayre. He brings with him 20 years of networking experience
and leadership roles.
Prior to joining IP Unity Glenayre, Yong was the Vice
President, Enterprise Business Group, APAC with Alcatel-Lucent
where he lead a multi-country regional support center,
strengthened alliances and channels within the region
and expanded Alcatel-Lucent's enterprise business development,
support and operations in Asia Pacific. Before Lucent
acquired Riverstone in 2006, Yong was the Vice President
and General Manager for Riverstone's APAC business.
Prior to Riverstone, Yong made tremendous strides at
EMC China as the Vice President and General Manager of
the company's Telco, Media and Entertainment Industries.
He was responsible for the development and implementation
of the unit's business, which included growing a service
provider-focused sales team and developing new sales territories.
For nine years, prior to EMC, Yong played a major role
at Stratacom/Cisco Systems China as one of the initial
contributors to the company's success in that region.
Through his leadership the Telco and Service Provider
business segment accounted for roughly a third of Cisco's
business in China.
Yong holds a bachelor's degree from Shanghai University
of Science and Technology, a master's degree from the University
of San Francisco and an MBA from Dowling College in New
York.
