Who is Yuri Lobanov?
Yuri Lobanov is a Soviet-born Tajik sprint canoer who competed from the early 1970s to the early 1980s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won two medals in the C-2 1000 m events with a gold in 1972 and a bronze in 1980.
Lobanov also won 14 medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with ten gold, two silvers, and two bronzes.
