Who was Yusuf ibn Tashfin?

Yusuf ibn Tashfin also, Tashafin, or Teshufin; or Yusuf; was a king of the Almoravid empire. He co-founded the city of Marrakech and led the Muslim forces in the Battle of Zallaqa/Sagrajas.
