Who is Chris Hackett?

Chris Hackett, born April 15, 1972 in New York City, is an American artist,television presenter, writer, fabricator, alternative engineer, and instructor. He is a co-founder of the Madagascar Institute, contributing editor for Popular Science Magazine, and was the host of the Science Channel's television show Stuck with Hackett. He has been a guest speaker for a number of events. In 2011 he spoke at the World Maker Fair in NY, in 2012 he spoke for Teague Academy, and in 2013 he spoke for Disaster Boot Camp. According to The New York Times, in their blog about Chris Hackett entitled "Building a better apocalypse", "He is something like a fabricator in chief for the Kings County D.I.Y. art set."
