Who was Alexander Sergeyevich Yakovlev?

Alexander Sergeyevich Yakovlev was a Soviet aeronautical engineer. He designed the Yakovlev military aircraft and founded the Yakovlev Design Bureau. Yakovlev was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1938.
