Who was Bâkî?
Bâḳî was the pen name of the Ottoman Turkish poet Mahmud Abdülbâkî. Considered one of the greatest contributors to Turkish literature, Bâkî came to be known as Sultânüş-şuarâ, or "Sultan of poets".
