Who is Belinda Evans?

Belinda Evans was born in 1978 in Ash, near Yeovil in Somerset and is a soprano singer. She has a BA(Hons) in Music, and also has a postgraduate diploma. Evans was one of the ten finalists in the BBC series How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, and has made her West End debut as a Swing in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Phantom of the Opera. Evans originally wanted to become a vet, but found her vocation in singing. She has appeared extensively as a soloist with many Choral Societies across the West country. During her A levels, she began collaborating with composer Sean O'Leary, and the two have worked together ever since . Evans graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA(Hons) Music Degree in 2001, followed by a Vocal Diploma at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2002 . She is presently studying with Judith Sheridan towards an operatic career. After graduation, Evans became a freelance singer and vocal coach.
