Who was Chance M. Vought?
Chauncey Milton Vought was an American aviation pioneer and engineer. He was the founder of the Lewis and Vought Corporation with Birdseye Lewis. He was born on Long Island, New York. He attended the Pratt Institute, New York University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Vought died from septicemia in July 1930. He was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 1989.
