Who is Harland Williams?

Harland Williams was born in Toronto, Ontario, where he worked for five years as a forest ranger before moving to Los Angeles to pursue comedy. He has had a number of very memorable film roles including Dumb & Dumber, Half Baked, Superstar, Down Periscope, Because of Winn-Dixie, Big Money Hustlas, The Whole Nine Yards, Employee of the Month, Sorority Boys, There's Something About Mary, My Life in Ruins, and of course his starring role in RocketMan. He also provided the voice of Lug in the animated film Robots and Carl in Meet The Robinsons.

He and his cousin Kevin Hearn, a member of the Barenaked Ladies, released an album together as The Cousins, entitled, The Love Song Years. Williams has also written and illustrated eight children's books on various topics including a brontosaurus named Lickety Split.

He was a favorite guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien because of his quirky antics and excellent chemistry with O'Brien. He also appeared on Thank God You're Here, in April of 2007, where he won the Blue Door Award. He is a regular guest on Tom Green's House Tonight. Rocker Parry Gripp of the nerd rock band Nerf Herder wrote a song in honor of Williams entitled, "I Wanna Be Your Harland Williams."
