Who is Iman Raad?
Iman Raad is a graphic designer, based in Tehran, Iran. He is known for his design style which is driven by his admiration for functional art, especially the Persian tradition of making tools and ordinary objects more beautiful. His work is inspired by Iranian folklore and such Persian and Islamic traditional crafts as calligraphy, pottery, weaves, architecture, talismans, religious flags, and posters. He is a member of the Iranian Graphic Designers Society. His work has been published in numerous books and periodicals including Area 2 and Young Asian graphic Designers. He won the IGDS Diploma of the 9th Tehran International Poster Biennial in 2007.
