Who is Thomas Hjorth?

Thomas Hjorth is a guitar player, producer, singer and songwriter with more than 20 years of experience in the music industry.

Born and raised in Denmark, he won his first musical achievement award at the age of 13 and began his musical studies in the Danish Alternative Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.

Looking for new challenges, at 23, he moved to the US to continue his career, studying at Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and later at The Musicians Institute (Los Angeles, CA).

Since then, Thomas has played and toured with several bands and artists of various styles, including Bec Hollcraft (Meredith Brooks), the world renowned MASS Ensemble (with whom he plays the original instrument Aquatar, making him one of the few people in the world who can play it) and his own bands: Citrus (who won the Best International Band Award from OC Music Awards in 2004), Dead Rose Beauty (who in 2008 pleased audiences around the US as part of Meat Loaf’s “Casa de Carne Tour” among others) and Laura Vall (with who just released the critically acclaimed album Real).

Thomas has also worked as a studio musician in the legendary Firehouse Recording Studios and Bernie Becker Mastering in Los Angeles to name a few and is a record producer himself, including the production of the album Real by Laura Vall among others.

Thomas is also a photographer and music video director, who’s works include all the videos, photography and artwork for the artist Laura Vall and several editorial shoots with some of the best models and make up artists in Los Angeles. Visit www.thomashjorth.com for more info.
